NSBA World Show

This is such a wonderful show. The staff is great, the facility is top notch and they display wonderful pageantry thru the entire process! You may chuckle but these people know how to put on a show! We started off with a big BANG when Shyanne Smith and her horse Impulsability won the Limited Showmanship! She beat some her barn mates in this class! That is what makes this such a cool event, it is all age! Youth, amateur and select all compete against each other! And our nervous Nellie, that’s Shyanne, was so worried about competing against Darlene and Kim… Little did she know that she was going to take home the trophy! Made her whole year I think! She deserves it. She has been working her tail off. She ended her day with a 6th place in the limited horsemanship.

Tom Clopp and his new horse, Clearly A Good Bar, made this their first horse show! Even though Jackson is green, he let us know that he is going to be a great show horse! The pair placed 6th in the intermediate showmanship and made the finals of the horsemanship! Keep your eye on this pair because they are going to be a team to be reckoned with!

Are next little super star was Stephanie Willsey and her new companion, Im A Moxie Man had a great show! They were Reserve Champion in the limited showmanship and World Champion in the Intermediate showmanship! This new duo is coming along fast!

Mayers Lindley started off the show strong with two firsts in the youth showmanship and a 4th place in a very competitive Intermediate horsemanship. Kim Allen was third in the Limited Horsemanship and Darlene Schwab was 6th in the limited showmanship. So overall a good show for everyone!

Since Lauren Love and Robin both share the same horse, Invitemeforchocolate, I will talk about them at the same time! As expected Lauren laid out her usual outstanding horsemanship run. Unfortunately Shaggy tripped right before his lead change, however Lauren held his frame together great and finished with a 6th in the open horsemanship. Though we had a tough warm up for the Am Western Riding, Lauren and Shaggy pulled through with a Reserve World Championship. Quite a feat considering Shaggy was the only Jr. horse in the pen against a sea of World Champions.

After being home for a whooping 5 days we head out tomorrow for the Select World with 6 outstanding competitors. I cannot wait to get back with you on how that one comes out.

One Response so far.

  1. Very excited to watch Robin ride in the Western Riding. Since I will be swapping back to the all around after so many years in the reining. I wanted to watch my new trainer ride. And boy did he and beautiful at that. Congrats to you Robin and Invitemeforchocolate..you looked marvelous. Cannot wait for you to get my pony ready for the pen.
